March 22, 2021, Nepal Bankers’ Association (NBA) Karnali Province Committee, supported by NBA, Kathmandu organized 1-day Banking Awareness/Financial Literacy Program amongst local entrepreneurs and banking customers of Birendra Nagar Municipality, Karnali Province, at Birendranagar, Surkhet. This program was designed with special focus on Digital Banking, Basics of Credit and Tax regulation. Further, information regarding subsidized agricultural loans as well as products /policies for Covid-19 affected businesses were also shared during the program.
The program was chaired by Mr. Raj Kumar Shakya, Coordinator, Nepal Bankers Association, Karnali Province in presence of Chief Guest Mr Shaligram Pokhrel (Chief of NRB, Karnali Provincial office, Surkhet and Guest Mr. Dhan Bd Rawat (President of FNCCI, Surkhet).
The program was attended by selected group of around 95 customers of all commercial banks in Birendranagar, Surkhet. The attendant customers were very satisfied by the program and requested to continue this type of awareness programs frequently for developing their banking habit.
