On November 22, Nepal Bankers’ Association in collaboration with IFC, jointly organized a webinar on “Credit Reporting in Nepal”.
The program was started with opening remarks from Mr. Anil Kumar Upadhyay, President, Nepal Bankers’ Association and Mr. Babacar S. Faye, Resident Representative, International Finance Corporation (IFC), the World Bank Group.
In the opening remark, NBA President mentioned upon various areas where NBA could work together with IFC for the betterment of the banking industry and align it with international standards. He also thanked IFC for today’s collaboration on Credit reporting webinar.
The program was valued added by a discussion session attended by EC Member and CEO Laxmi Bank Ltd Mr. Ajaya B. Shah and Mr. Lin Huang, Senior Operations Officer, FIG Advisory, Asia and Pacific, IFC. The session provided essential knowledge and insights into credit industry management focusing on credit reporting & lending market development, foundations of the modern credit market, linkages to growth & inclusion, the value of credit reporting, and implications for Nepal.
There was a participation of Head of Corporate Banking, SME/Microfinance Banking, Retail Banking and Risk Department from member banks.
