Nepal Bankers’ Association organized an Executive Knowledge Session on “Navigating the Future of Banking: Global Trends, Emerging Risks & AI-Driven Transformation”. The program brought together senior officials from member banks to discuss the evolving global banking landscape and the strategic priorities shaping the future of the financial sector.

The session was conducted by Prof. Dr. Andrei Boar, Director – Department of Business Management & Strategy, UPF – Barcelona School of Management, Spain, who shared valuable global insights on the transformation of the banking industry and the opportunities and challenges facing financial institutions in an increasingly dynamic environment.

Prof. Boar discussed key developments in banking sectors, regulatory landscape and changing business models. He also elaborated on the impact of geopolitical risks on interest rates and financial markets, emphasizing the importance of strategic decision-making. The session further explored the management of financial and non-financial products in response to changing economic conditions, the growing importance of digital customer engagement through new service channels, neobanks and uses of AI in scoring analysis.
