Feb 2, 2017 – Nepal Bankers’ Association, in association with ELAM Nepal Pvt Ltd and in partnership with FICO – DOWJONES, organized a symposium on “Solution for Effective Anti-Money Laundering Governance, White-Collar Crime and Compliance Management Practices”.
Mr. Anil Keshary Shah, President of NBA delivered welcome speech and said that banks are aware of the threats out there and are always looking for solutions which would make the banking system safe and secure.
Speaking during the program, Mr. Chintamani Siwakoti, Deputy Governor said that the Central bank has been keeping an eye on large financial transactions as part of its efforts to fight money laundering and white collar crimes.
During the symposium, Mr. Timoty Choon (MD, APAC, Fair Isaac GmbH (FICO) Compliance Solution) shared his presentation on Global Compliance Landscape; Mr. Hari K. Nepal (FIU, NRB) talked about AML: Challenges in Compliance & Risk Management; Mr. Timothy Choon (MD, APAC, Fair Isaac GmbH (FICO) Compliance Solution) presented Global Regulatory Compliance Landscape & Effective Credit Risk Management; and Mr Aniruddha Chatterjee (Regional Director, DOW JONES, India) shared his presentation on Being Compliant: A Perspective from Business.
Along with the CEOs and concerned officials from the banks, NRB officials, representatives from various other organizations were also invited to the Symposium.
