30th November 2017 – Nepal Bankers’ Association held its 31st Annual General Meeting today.
The AGM unopposedly elected Mr. Ramesh R. Aryal, Chief Executive Officer, NCC Bank Ltd.
as member in the Executive Committee of the Association.
Following the new appointments, the newly formed Executive Committee is as below ;

During the AGM function, NBA also felicitated Mr. Himalaya Shumsher JB Rana with a memento in recognition of his 6 decades long contribution in the financial sector of Nepal. Mr. Rana was the first Secretary of Ministry of Finance and also first Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank who successfully initiated introduction of Nepalese currency throughout Nepal and successfully implemented free convertibility of Nepalese currency into Indian currency at stabilized rate of exchange. Mr. Rana is also former Chairman of Himalayan Bank Ltd. and Nirdhan Utthan Bank Ltd; and also Founding Chairman of Gorkha Brewery established in 1989 – one of the first joint venture companies in Nepal.
