Nepal Bankers’ Association – Sudurpashchim Chapter and Banker’s Club Dhangadhi, jointly organized an Interaction and Discussion Program on Contemporary Issues in the Banking Industry at Dhangadhi. The main objective of the program was to conduct an in-depth discussion on current banking issues, bringing together banking experts and stakeholders to exchange insights and perspectives.
During the program, the Chief Guest of the Program Dr. Gunakar Bhatt, Executive Director, Payment Systems Department of Nepal Rastra Bank, highlighted an overview of the Nepalese banking sector’s current status. He emphasized pivotal role that the banking industry has played for the economic development of the country. Furthermore, he said that Nepalese banking sector is sound, competitive and resilient. Dr. Bhatt also addressed the various concerns raised by the participants.
The program was participated by Mr. Shanti Prasad Pandey, Officiating Director of Nepal Rastra Bank Dhangadhi, NRB officials from Dhangadhi, Sudurpashchim Province Heads and Branch Managers of the BFIs, members of Banker’s Club Dhangadhi, among others.
